Career Opportunity

Bid Manager

The opportunity overview: Barq Systems is looking for a Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end coordination of customer RFPs and complex, multi-domain bids. You will treat each bid as a project: creating structure, aligning contributors, managing risk and deadlines, and ensuring that every submission is complete, compliant and professionally assembled. This is an orchestration role at the centre of Sales, Presales, Project Management, Delivery, Legal and Finance.

Opening Date: 8/18/2026 | Closing Date: 12/31/2026
Category: Sales
Location : Cairo, Egypt

What you will do

·       Own the bid-management process from RFP receipt through submission, clarification and handover.

·       Review the full RFP—not only the technical requirements—to identify commercial, legal, financial, contractual and submission obligations.

·       Run bid kick-offs; establish the response strategy, RACI, workplan, milestones, review gates and decision points.

·       Act as the single point of coordination across Sales, Presales, Project Management, Delivery, Legal, Finance, business units and, where appropriate, the customer.

·       Maintain a controlled bid workspace, document structure, action log, clarification log and current version of all submission materials.

·       Coordinate customer clarifications and internal responses, and attend clarification sessions as required.

·       Consolidate bills of materials, technical inputs and supporting documents from multiple business units into the required customer formats.

·       Track dependencies, risks, assumptions, approvals and missing deliverables; escalate early when deadlines, quality or compliance are at risk.

·       Partner with Sales to coordinate commercial inputs and support agreement on fair margin allocation across contributing business units.

·       Manage quality and compliance reviews, final production, submission confirmation and a complete handover to Delivery.

·       Capture lessons learned and improve Barq Systems’ bid templates, governance and ways of working.

What success looks like

·       Sales and Presales spend less time chasing inputs and more time strengthening the customer proposition.

·       Bid contributors understand their responsibilities, deadlines and approval routes from the outset.

·       Submissions meet customer instructions, contain the correct approved content and arrive on time.

·       Delivery receives a clear, controlled handover based on the final submitted response.

·       Complex and multi-domain bids are managed with visible risks, disciplined governance and consistent quality.

What you bring

·       Demonstrated experience managing bids, tenders, RFPs or complex proposals in technology, systems integration, ICT, telecoms or a comparable B2B environment.

·       Strong project-management skills, with the ability to build realistic plans, coordinate parallel workstreams and maintain momentum under fixed deadlines.

·       A sound understanding of the full bid lifecycle, including compliance, commercial, legal, financial and technical inputs.

·       Excellent stakeholder management and the confidence to challenge, follow up and escalate constructively across seniority levels and functions.

·       Exceptional organisation, attention to detail, document control and written communication skills.

·       Ability to turn contributions from multiple teams into one coherent, customer-ready response.

·       Good commercial judgement, discretion and composure in high-pressure situations.

·       Professional fluency in English; Arabic capability is an advantage where relevant to customer engagements.

Preferred qualifications

·       A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information technology or a related discipline—or equivalent relevant experience.

·       A recognised bid, proposal or project-management qualification (for example APMP, PMP or PRINCE2).

·       5-7 years of experience.

·  Experience with public-sector procurement, large enterprise bids, multi-vendor solutions or multi-business-unit responses.

·       Experience using collaborative document-management and bid-tracking tools.

The role—and its boundaries

The Bid Manager is a project leader and orchestrator, not a secretary for the contributing teams. You will create the conditions for strong technical and commercial inputs, identify gaps and coordinate reviews. Ownership of the accuracy and integrity of technical content remains with Presales and subject-matter experts; ownership of pricing and commercial decisions remains with Sales and the relevant approvers.

Why join Barq Systems

You will have the opportunity to shape a strategically important capability, improve how teams collaborate on high-value opportunities, and make a visible contribution to submission quality, customer experience and delivery readiness. The role offers broad exposure across Barq Systems and a mandate to build practical, repeatable bid-management standards.
