The HSE Specialist is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment by implementing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and best practices. The role involves identifying workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements, supporting risk mitigation initiatives, and fostering a strong safety culture across all operations.
Conduct routine site inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks (TBT), and awareness sessions to employees and contractors.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements, client HSE standards, and company procedures.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure its availability when required.
Maintain HSE records, reports, permits, and inspection checklists.
Support emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and fire safety inspections.
Report HSE performance, observations, and non-conformities to the HSE Manager on a regular basis.
Promote a positive safety culture and encourage hazard reporting across all work activities.
Qualifications, Experiences, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
1 - 2 years of experience within an HSE working environment.
Holding OSHA & IOSH certificates is a prerequisite for this position.
Ability to coordinate with clients and consultants.
Managing sites according to safety requirements.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Excellent level of English communication and writing skills
